Take A Historical Journey To The Casa Malpais and Visit Casa Malpais Museum
The Casa Malpais Museum is located at 418 E. Main Street in Springerville, Arizona, the Casa Malpais Museum includes a treasure-trove of ancient artifacts excavated from the ancient ancestral pueblo. The museum features pots, projectile points, jewelry, stone tools, books and interactive media with something for all ages. The museum is included in the Casa Malpais tour, this is a guided tour, approximately 3/4 mile hike that goes up 150 feet in elevation and includes some steep, rocky sections.
Good hiking shoes are recommended. Bring water, as the temperatures can be extreme. The tour takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete. Come 15 minutes early for an introductory video by Hopi and Zuni elders. Check out the interactive artifact guide in this AZ specialty museum!
