Do It The Colossal Cave Mountain Park Way!
If you want to experience a different side of Arizona then do it the Colossal Cave way. Explore the "dry" or "dead" cave. It means that the cave is not growing any new formations anymore. You can choose to take the regular cave tour or opt for a more adventurous tour. The tours are namely the candlelight tour, ladder tour, and wild cave tour. Before you head out caving, make sure you are fit and healthy enough to go through the trails. After the amazing cave tour, you can fancy for some horseback trail rides too. In addition, overnight camp is allowed same as having a picnic in the park.
The tour route is a half mile long and takes about 45-50 minutes to complete. As your guide relates the Cave's history, legends, and geology, you walk down and back up about six and a half stories and see beautiful cave formations. When you're in Arizona stop by for a fun getaway with your kids.
