Spend A LOVEly Time at the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall
The “LOVE” sign was adopted during a time when the US was engulfed in the Vietnam War and it came to signify Peace. This famous sculpture has been conceived by Robert Indiana (1969-1999) and is recognized as the most celebrated works of the “pop art movement” specifically and the art world as a whole.
This famous public art in Arizona was purchased through the Scottsdale Public Art Program. LOVE is a 144" height by 144" width by 72" depth sculpture created from poly-chromed aluminum in red and blue colors, and weighs about 3,800 lbs. There are a number of different colored editions available in a lot of places; however Scottsdale's purchase was the first in a series of five. The LOVE is situated in the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall.
